November: LVs Run Philly

LVs Run Philly: SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2008

76 Runners (40 LVs, 13 Alums, 4 Brothers and 19 Friends) successfully completed a marathon, half-marathon or 8k run, many as their first race. We ran so they could run — and play, and learn, and grow to become great people. Their education is not just the biggest reason we serve, it’s the biggest reason we care. Your efforts ensure that Lasallian Volunteers will continue to be placed in needed areas across the country. For that, we thank you and wish you a generous holiday season. GO LVs!

WE THANK YOU for your support of future volunteers across America!

RUNNERS:
76ACTUAL TOTAL:
$67,600

In 2007, 18 Lasallian Volunteers ran the Chicago Marathon and raised over $28,000. In 2009, we headed to Philadelphia with an army of 76 volunteer runners and friends with an ambitious fundraising goal of $56,000…and blew it out of the asphalt.

In response to an ever growing need in the most disadvantaged areas across the country, the Lasallian Volunteers program needs to continue a trend of expansion to fulfill requests for volunteers. The Lasallian Volunteers themselves do what they can to aid in future development. This includes getting the word out about what we do, recruitment and fundraising.

LVs Run Philly ‘08 was the volunteers’ biggest contribution to the growth of the Lasallian Volunteers program. Thank you for your show of support!
