Jen Sneed
Jen serves at Serviam Gardens as the Program Coordinator developing and implementing programs that cater to the needs and interests of the Seniors. She interacts with the residents to gauge their needs and interests and is responsible for developing and implementing social, educational, horticultural, health and wellness programming for the residents.
This project offers low income seniors an opportunity to live in subsidized housing, paying no more than 30% of their income toward rent. The majority of the residents at Serviam depend on Social Security Income, less than $10,000 per year. A smaller percentage of the tenants were formerly homeless. Residents at Serviam come from various ethnic backgrounds with the majority being Latino, Korean or African-American.
