Bro. Ed Phelan Runs In Rome
Bro. Ed Phelan was not able to attend the Marathon in Memphis because he was participating in CIL (a worldwide gathering for Lasallian Association) in Rome. Bro. Ed was thousands of miles away, but he did not let that deter him from participating in the marathon weekend as much as possible.
He and Bro. Mark Snodgrass (also attending CIL) phoned into the pre-race pasta dinner via Skype. Even though it was after 1am in Rome they did not let the late hours prevent them from participating. They toasted the runners and wished them well. The photo below is of the projected computer image of the two Brothers talking to the runners through Skype.
