Personal Story

I was born in Troy, NY and raised in Green Island. I attended three parochial schools before landing at Heatly Jr. – Sr. High School where I became involved as a student leader and graduated. During high school I was in the service organization Key Club and held the position of Lt. Governor as a member of the NYD Board for the 99-00 year. I am an alum of Siena College in Loudonville, NY where I served as the Editor-in-Chief of the school newspaper, The Promethean; and was a Resident Assistant for three years.
After my college experience I joined the Lasallian Volunteer program and moved to the Harvey Community in Chicago, IL to teach on the West Side at the San Miguel Schools – Gary Comer Campus. At Comer I was blessed with the opportunities to teach 7th & 8th grade Language Arts & Reading, coach JV Girl’s basketball, coach the Poetry Slam Team, and act as the Lasallian Animator.
