New Director of Development Announced

Andrew Blythe Hired as Director of Development of Lasallian Volunteers

As director of development, Andrew will join Jolleen Wagner, Kimberly Williams, Zac Ufnar and Peter Tooher in the operation of the Lasallian Volunteers. Specifically, Andrew’s focus will be on management and implementation of all fundraising activities, including cultivation, solicitation, stewardship and events. Additionally, Andrew will assist with the development of marketing strategies and publications to increase the visibility of Lasallian Volunteers to potential funders.

Andrew is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and Andrew co-founded The Call to Serve, LTD in Pittsburgh, PA. During his time at The Call to Serve, Andrew has developed ongoing and substantial fundraising revenue, secured corporate sponsorship and developed the brand of The Call to Serve. Andrew was first introduced to Lasallian Volunteers when his sister, Melissa (Blythe) Altman served 2002-2004. Andrew comes to Lasallian Volunteers with his feet wet with the experience of fundraising and development for a not-for-profit organization and with an excitement and zeal for the mission of Lasallian Volunteers.

When asked about what motivated him to apply for and accept the position on the LV staff, Andrew responded, “I was motivated to accept the position because in doing so I will have the opportunity to promote the Lasallian Volunteers foundational values of faith, service and community; these are values with which I strive to live. I am thrilled to be a part of such a great organization. ” The LV staff is very excited to welcome Andrew on board and is looking forward to his presence in the Lasallian community.

Andrew officially begins his new position on November 28, 2011 and will be based at Christian Brothers Conference in Washington, DC.
