Katie Christensen, LV 13-15, has announced her departure as the recruitment coordinator of Lasallian Volunteers effective July 29, 2018. She joined the LV staff in 2015 after two years serving as an LV at Serviam Gardens in Bronx, New York.
As recruitment coordinator, Christensen invited and accompanied prospective LVs through the discernment and application process, coordinated recruitment efforts at all of the Lasallian colleges and universities and key non-Lasallian colleges and universities, and assisted with the implementation of the online application forms.
“Katie’s joy and care for the LV program and Lasallian mission is evident in all that she does,” said Kathleen Swain, LV director. “During Katie’s time on staff, she really grew our recruitment efforts and how volunteers are invited into the mission. She created lasting relationships with not only prospective LVs, but Brothers and Partners.”
Christensen was inspired to serve as a Lasallian Volunteer after her graduation from the University of Colorado partly because of her experiences on an immersion trip to De La Salle Blackfeet School in Browning, Montana, that she took as a student at Mullen High School in Denver, Colorado.
Lasallian Volunteers is now accepting applications for the recruitment coordinator position. View the job description here >
