Lasallian Volunteers to Honor Brothers Ed Phelan and Lawrence Goyette

As part of our 30th anniversary celebration, Lasallian Volunteers will honor two Brothers for their longtime commitment to the LV program. Brother Ed Phelan, FSC, and Brother Lawrence Goyette, FSC, will receive the Dorothy R. Hopkins Lifetime Association Recognition.

This honor, named after the late Dorothy Hopkins, commemorates and celebrates Dorothy’s association with the Lasallian charism, our shared mission and Lasallian Volunteers. Dorothy was a deeply generous supporter of Lasallian Volunteers for many years and embraced “together and by association” during her lifetime. Her support of Lasallian Volunteers will provide a long-lasting legacy of recruiting, training and forming for our next generation of Lasallians.

Lasallian Volunteers chose to recognize Brothers Ed and Lawrence in Dorothy’s honor to celebrate their continued commitment to association by way of their support for and advocacy of Lasallian Volunteers. Their realization of association through our three core values of faith, service and community is a tribute to our shared charism.

Lasallian Volunteers will present this honor to Brother Ed and Brother Lawrence during the 30th Anniversary Mass and Gala, which will be held April 25, 2020, at Manhattan College in Riverdale, New York. Join us for this celebration by registering here >
