LVs Run

About LVs Run

In 2006 when LV Adriana Rodriguez decided to run the NYC Marathon she also thought she’d see if she could raise money for Lasallian Volunteers in the process. A number of current LVs, Staff and her community members found spots along the race sidelines and cheered her on! In many ways, that was year one. Under the guidance of then coordinator of recruitment, Seth Whetzel, plans started coming together for LVs and the Chicago Marathon. In 2007, the Lasallian Volunteers organized the first of yearly fundraisers, as LVs Run exists today, around a specific road race to help the fundraising efforts of the program. Since running in Chicago in 2008, over $715,000 has been raised for the Lasallian Volunteers. The races provide the volunteers a place to share their story with friends and family inviting them to participate in the Lasallian Volunteers movement.
